St. Peter’s Episcopal Church becomes a partner
1993

St. Peter’s Homes begins working with Charlotte non-profit; Single Room Occupancy (SRO) housing explored as option for housing homeless men

1996

SRO Options for Charlotte Committee partnered with David Furman Architecture, Bank of America and the Homeless Services Network

1998
Barney Offerman works through the Campaign for Human Development with the local Catholic Diocese and with St. Peter’s Catholic Church
1998-2000
David Furman searches for a viable site and works on SRO zoning definitions 
2001
Assessment on homelessness by Mecklenburg County indicates the hardest population to exit homelessness is disabled men, employed, participating in community service work or job training classes
2001

HUD announces St. Peter’s Homes awarded $500,000 to build Charlotte’s first SRO for disabled homeless men

2001
July, David Furman locates a piece of land on North Davidson Street
2001
Discontent and protest erupts in NoDa concerning the building of an SRO
2002
January, Land purchesed by Jeremiah churches
2002
May 13, Loan request for $1,025,542 is unanimously approved
2002
November 12, Groundbreaking ceremony held
2003
